Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
As a Medical Office Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Patient registration, including scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Managing phone communications, general correspondence, and maintaining accurate records
  • Performing data entry and utilizing word processing and database applications
  • Compiling and entering statistical data
  • Drafting correspondence and transcribing documents
  • Overseeing revenue transactions and ensuring accuracy
  • Managing medical supplies and equipment
  • Assisting patients to examination rooms and preparing necessary supplies
  • Supporting sensitive examinations and routine measurements
  • Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and managing supply disposal
Qualifications:
Applicants should include the following in their application:
  • A Typing Test certificate showing a minimum of 40 wpm, completed within the last 24 months
  • A Medical Office Assistant Certificate
  • A valid BC Driver's License
  • A current Resume
  • A Cover Letter outlining your availability for the position
