Key Responsibilities
  • Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens in a timely and accurate manner
  • Enter requisitions and results into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns with empathy and kindness
  • Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Meet quality and regulatory standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity
Requirements
  • Secondary School diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with phlebotomy training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a medical laboratory environment, with occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds and frequent computer use. You will also be required to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings.
