Capital Cost Estimator Leader

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join the Minerals & Metals team in Vancouver. This is a contract position that will be filled on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Project Controls and be responsible for directing the estimating effort for large industrial projects from conceptual design through planning and construction.
Compensation: The salary for this position will be in the range of CDN $142,000 - $174,000 per year.

Requirements:- A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating and leading capital cost estimates for mining or heavy industrial projects in an EPC/EPCM setting.
- Previous lead estimator experience on mining projects and field experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with estimating costs for international projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven capability in delivering presentations to senior management.
- Effective organizational skills, strong work ethic, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated skill and ability to identify and solve problems in a prompt and decisive manner.
- Sound knowledge of construction processes.
- Knowledge of the AACEI estimate classifications and guidelines.
- An engineering degree or engineering technologist diploma will be considered an asset.
- Experience in mining and estimating heavy civil works would be considered an asset.
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
