Position Overview

Procter & Gamble Canada is seeking a Regional Supply Chain Specialist to oversee operations within the Manitoba region, including areas such as Winnipeg and Brandon. This role is a part-time, temporary contract that requires approximately 25% travel to various retail locations. A company vehicle will be provided for this purpose.

The Regional Supply Chain Specialist (RCSS) is responsible for formulating and implementing strategies at both the store and regional levels to enhance product availability and meet corporate sales objectives. This position complements the dedicated merchandising team by providing specialized expertise aimed at optimizing stock levels, boosting sales, and ensuring compliance with display standards at Walmart locations, thereby driving revenue for P&G Grooming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of P&G's business landscape, objectives, grooming sector, and competitive environment.
  • Foster strong working relationships with the Regional Availability Manager to identify challenges and opportunities, devising solutions to enhance point-of-sale performance, stock availability, and display adherence in targeted stores.
  • Assume accountability for all stores within the designated territory, prioritizing them based on potential growth opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture connections with department, store, and zone management, as well as Market AP leaders, to align on systemic solutions.
  • Create actionable plans and engage with relevant store, market, and regional contacts to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
  • Strategically plan store visits to maximize effectiveness and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Gather data, insights, and feedback for regular reporting and the development of business case studies.
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings to share insights and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to the designated territory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive for extended periods (company vehicle provided).
  • Regional travel required on a monthly basis.
