Main Responsibilities- Develop and Achieve Annual Tonnage Objectives: Collaborate with various stakeholders to establish and monitor annual tonnage objectives for concentrate and Fire Lake operation.
- Coordinate Planned Stops: Work with different value chain sectors to plan and coordinate stops to ensure efficient transportation and maintenance.
- Communicate Daily with Stakeholders: Establish and maintain effective communication with various sectors to capture production and maintenance opportunities.
- Liaise with Railway Maintenance Departments: Ensure compliance with maintenance plans and schedules to maintain the sustainability of railway transport equipment.
- Represent Transport Operation in Meetings: Participate in railway schedule and planning meetings to represent the transport operation and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Implement Good Communication Practices: Develop and maintain effective communication practices to ensure seamless information exchange between sector departments and work shifts.
- Manage Staff Under Responsibility: Supervise and manage staff under your responsibility, including management and unionized personnel.
- Masters and Applies Railway Regulations: Ensure compliance with railway regulations and standards to maintain a safe and efficient transportation system.
- Optimize Train Cycle: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize the full train cycle and improve transportation efficiency.
- Contribute to Improvement Projects: Collaborate with the team to identify and implement improvement projects and apply new technologies to enhance performance.
- Participate in Budget Development and Monitoring: Work with the section manager to develop and monitor budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Education: College diploma in a field related to logistics, operations management, or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in the railway sector, with experience as a railway traffic controller being an asset.
- Certification: Certification related to railway regulations (REF) is an asset.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Relationship Skills: Strong interpersonal relationship skills to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Learning Ability: Good learning ability and quick decision-making skills to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Priority Management: Effective priority management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
