About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Security Advisor to join our team at Secure Community Network (SCN). As a Regional Security Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the Jewish community in North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent SCN and the Federation: Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional partners, promoting SCN's mission and values.
  • Provide Expert Security Advice: Offer guidance and support to community leaders and officials on security-related matters, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
  • Act as the Main Point of Contact: Serve as the primary liaison between SCN and the local community, responding to security concerns and providing timely support.
  • Maintain Relationships: Foster and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, officials, and other stakeholders, promoting collaboration and cooperation.
  • Communicate SCN's Mission and Policies: Effectively communicate SCN's mission, values, and policies to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of our role and responsibilities.
  • Prepare Reports: Develop and submit regular reports to key leadership, providing insights and recommendations on security-related matters.
  • Implement Emergency Communication Systems: Design and implement effective emergency communication systems, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination during critical situations.
  • Develop and Oversee Security Policies: Create and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Review Security Programs: Conduct regular reviews of security programs at partner agencies, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for enhancement.
  • Plan and Execute Special Events: Collaborate with event organizers to ensure the safety and security of attendees, developing and implementing comprehensive security plans.
  • Identify Opportunities for Community Building: Identify opportunities for community building and engagement, promoting a sense of community and social cohesion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Law Enforcement Certification: Possess law enforcement certification with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Abilities: Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Security Protocols and Emergency Management: Have a deep understanding of security protocols and emergency management principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Ability to Obtain a Government Security Clearance: Be able to obtain a government security clearance, as required by SCN.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications: Possess proficiency in computer applications, including software and systems relevant to the role.
  • Travel Required: Be willing to travel, with potential for extended hours, as required by the role.
