Job Responsibilities:
Conduct assigned shifts at various locations within the region.Deliver proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents effectively.Exhibit outstanding customer service abilities and engage with individuals experiencing stress or requiring medical assistance.Maintain physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods.Execute a range of preventative and responsive duties, including interior and exterior patrols of facilities.Implement Use of Force/Restraint as mandated under applicable legislation.Facilitate security escort services for staff and visitors upon request.Provide motor vehicle assistance to staff and visitors as necessary.Maintain accurate logs and records of all shift activities and service calls.Prepare detailed reports following investigations or notable incidents promptly.Investigate and follow up on incidents, including report writing and reviewing surveillance footage.Alert individuals to rule violations and, if necessary, apprehend or remove violators from premises.Handle various office responsibilities, such as ID badge issuance and lost and found management.Qualifications:
Possession of a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).Educational background in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services is advantageous.Proof of double Covid Vaccination.Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests).Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.Ownership of a vehicle is essential.Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements.Note: The UoF/MOAB training is unpaid as it is a prerequisite; however, Paladin will cover all training costs with a commitment to the position.Benefits:
