The Head of Engineering Operations will offer strategic direction for Engineering Technology within the Commercial division. Working in close collaboration with various internal and external teams, this position aims to develop technologies that position Four Seasons as a guest-focused, digitally advanced luxury brand. The ideal candidate is adept at problem-solving, excels in application development, and plays a pivotal role in shaping engineering strategies for enterprise-wide capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Business Development

  • Direct the technical strategy, design, and integration of technology to support Commercial goals and enhance guest experiences.
  • Partner with development teams to improve hospitality applications and drive revenue enhancement.
  • Remain informed about technology trends, conduct market analysis, and investigate new innovations.
  • Stay abreast of competitive products, services, and trends within the luxury brand and hospitality industry.

Engineering and System Design

  • Develop architectural designs that improve analytics, personalization, and automation across various digital platforms.
  • Establish superior engineering processes for effective application development.
  • Formulate and execute engineering strategies that align with business objectives and requirements.
  • Ensure product adherence to technology architecture and operational protocols.

Team Management and Culture

  • Oversee an application development team, providing guidance and motivation for optimal performance.
  • Deliver technical expertise across key Commercial Technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and deliver solutions aligned with business strategies.
  • Encourage continuous learning and technical proficiency within the organization.

Technical Solutions Development

  • Expertise in constructing and integrating services in a cloud-first environment.
  • Experience with web service calls, RESTful services, and mobile application development.
  • Proficiency in monitoring services for performance and optimization based on analysis.
  • Knowledge of web and mobile application protocols, design patterns, and system integration.

  • Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing development teams.
  • Ability to collaborate across global functional teams and achieve results using Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Architecture Certification (TOEGAF or similar).
  • Experience in Hospitality and E-commerce.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Oracle systems.
