Job Title: Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Port Elgin Montessori Preschool Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and disinfect all areas of the preschool, including classrooms, hallways, and bathrooms.
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners in trash cans.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Vacuum and mop floors.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role an asset.
