Facilities Maintenance Manager

Reporting to: Contract Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of building maintenance systems.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the maintenance workforce.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of the maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, and minor construction tasks utilizing our computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) in alignment with established protocols and client agreements.
  • Ensure all building systems are operated and maintained in compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and manage annual operating costs and capital budgets for facility operations.
  • Ensure that key performance indicators are consistently achieved or surpassed.
  • Foster a positive work environment for the maintenance team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and facility users.
  • Compile and generate a variety of detailed reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support to the maintenance team and clients.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Red Seal Trade certification.
  • Ability to acquire a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) as mandated by Transport Canada for airport operations.
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of complex building maintenance systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building automation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a facility management organization.
  • Experience working in an airport environment is preferred.
  • Candidates with an Electrical FSR A qualification will be given preference.
