Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Support: Lead and support a team of early childhood educators in a child care centre setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of programs that meet the needs of children, including planning and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and education.
  • Communication: Discuss progress and problems of children with staff, ensuring open and effective communication to promote a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care centre setting
  • Work Setting: Child care centre
  • Supervision: 3-4 people
  • Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3)
Personal Suitability:
  • Punctuality: Demonstrated ability to maintain a regular attendance record
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
