Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Captain to join our team at PLANTA Yorkville. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Dining Room Team: Supervise and motivate a team of servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage Guest Experiences: Anticipate and respond to guest needs, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.
  • Maintain High Standards: Uphold our standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety in the dining room and kitchen areas.
  • Monitor and Control: Oversee the flow of service, manage table assignments, and ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Train and Develop: Provide ongoing training and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and clear communication with the kitchen, management, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Monitor and control inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal levels.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2-3 Years of Experience: In a high-volume, casual fine-dining establishment, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
