Job Title: Bartender

PLANTA Restaurants is seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team at PLANTA Yorkville. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences to our guests, while upholding the highest standards of quality and service.

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for guests and employees alike.
  • Uphold our standards at all times, treating everyone with courtesy and respect.
  • Deliver world-class guest experiences through interactions and adherence to our steps of service.
  • Mix and serve drinks according to set standard recipes.
  • Oversee the overall operation of the bar, including POS, setup, teardown, and mise en place.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide barbacks with direction and coaching to ensure proper operation of the bar and assist them when necessary.
  • Be aware of all inventory behind the bar and take inventory of beverages and supplies when requested.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently.
  • Perform assigned side work.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Fully understand and embody PLANTA's can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication.
  • 3+ years of bartending experience in a similar high-volume cocktail-driven environment.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • A proactive team player who embodies our spirit of entrepreneurship and mutual respect.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer, with the ability to speak to this fluently with guests.
  • Attention to detail and a strong understanding of steps of service and fine dining.
  • Smart Serve Certification is a requirement.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized with an eye for detail.
  • Committed to safety and good environmental practices in the workplace.
  • Degree/Diploma in Hospitality, WSET, Prud'homme, or equivalent considered an asset.
  • Full-time flexible hours are required (days, nights, weekends, holidays) or as agreed with your hiring manager.
