Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Orenda Automation Technologies Inc. as a key member of our engineering department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and components for our manufacturing operations. This includes conducting research, analyzing dynamics and vibrations, supervising installations, and developing maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in mechanical systems and components
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components to meet specific requirements and specifications
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards
  • Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications
  • Supervise and review the work of technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure quality and accuracy
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or processing industry
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
