Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified English and Indigenous Studies teacher to join our team at the Intermediate/Senior level. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects, including English and Indigenous Studies, and will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English and Indigenous Studies courses to Intermediate/Senior students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices

Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario teaching certification
  • Experience teaching English and Indigenous Studies at the Intermediate/Senior level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
