Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient sorting, loading, and offloading of freight from trailers using a counterbalance forklift in a crossdock environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to move freight in a warehouse setting
  • Sort and load/offload freight from trailers in a crossdock environment
  • Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the forklift and warehouse area

Requirements:

  • Valid forklift certification
  • Experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
