Quality Assurance Technologist

The MEARIE Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technologist to join our Metering Services Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our metering services, including testing and calibration of various meter types, compliance with regulations, and adherence to quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and seal electricity meters for the AMV program
  • Monitor processes and outputs for compliance with regulatory requirements and document any non-conformances
  • Assist in maintaining the AMV quality management system, including quality documentation and records
  • Oversee the certification and maintenance of test consoles for the AMV program
  • Act as a liaison with customers and regulatory bodies for technical issues and reporting
  • Act as a subject matter expert for technical requirements of AMV and MSP programs

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Engineering Technology or Engineering Technician with C. Tech designation
  • At least 5 years' experience in a related field or knowledge of residential and wholesale metering
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Valid Class G Driver's License
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001-certified environment beneficial
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and adaptable to changing demands with the ability to organize priorities based on deadlines
  • Able to work well within a team and individually
