About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our dynamic team at IBM Computing as a Senior Technology Advocate. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your passion for technology to advance user advocacy, fostering awareness of our programs and working alongside a multidisciplinary team serving a wide community of IBM technologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Development: Foster a thriving user group community through strategic events such as meetups, conferences, and webinars.
- Leadership and Advocacy: Empower and support user group leaders, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
- Content and Communication: Partner with the User Advocacy Program Evangelist to craft compelling content that showcases the success of user groups and drives excitement for upcoming events, keeping the community engaged and inspired.
- Expansion and Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to expand our user group community and increase engagement.
Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in an advocacy role (client advocate, developer relations, user advocacy, program evangelist, community manager) within technology.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire, with experience in managing and growing communities.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Project Management: Strong project management abilities, with a disciplined approach to achieving goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the technology industry and its trends.
- Professional Network: Established connections within the tech community and advocacy domain.
