We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at IGT. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform project assignments and work tasks with oversight by supervisor or mentor.
- Test gaming software and review product documentation and packages to ensure conformance with required customer, jurisdictional, regulatory, and functional specifications.
- Execute test plans and scripts for game software.
- Perform different, nonautomated, types of functional and nonfunctional testing, both scripted and unscripted (exploratory).
- Perform various types of automated testing, as applicable.
- Detect, track, and report software bugs and inconsistencies to the project team.
- Verify the game mathematics and mechanics are implemented correctly.
- Document test evidence to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Provide updates on testing work done during project lifecycle.
- Create standard test scripts.
- Support training and onboarding of new colleagues.
- Creating and maintaining tools, processes, and training documentation.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the following areas:
- Developing a higher-level understanding of the SQA engineer role, responsibilities, and studio pipeline.
- Developing a higher-level understanding of the IGT game development process, testing process, and workflows.
- Developing a higher-level understanding of assigned IGT product lines and customer requirements.
- Mainly performs manual testing.
- Manual testing must be performed in the office.
- Bonus if:
- Utilize available automated test cases and tools to support test plans.
- Work to minimize manual testing by identifying high-ROI test cases suitable for automation.
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 years of experience in software quality assurance including software/firmware testing, experience with test tools, or knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
- Computer hardware knowledge with troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated and passion for developing high quality games.
- Experience in cross-functional team software development.
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
- Technical background in a STEM discipline with a keen eye for detail.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in a technical field/capacity.
- Previous experience in game development or testing.
- Familiarity with gaming regulations and jurisdictional requirements.
- Knowledge of casino game rules.
- Programming language competency or coding background/working experience.
