Position Overview

The Manager of Nutrition and Food Services plays a pivotal role in overseeing the effective delivery of nutritional care and food service operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Nutrition and Food Services, this position is essential for ensuring high standards of service across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager will be responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, and managing daily operations of Nutrition and Food Services across various sites.
  • Integrating nutrition care with food service to enhance patient and client experiences.
  • Collaborating on provincial initiatives and adhering to established nutrition policies.
  • Implementing nutrition care standards and monitoring clinical performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and nutrition care standards for optimal health outcomes.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
  • Membership in a professional association, preferably Dietitians of Canada.
  • Advanced Food Safety Training certification.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong financial planning and human resource management skills.
  • Experience in a unionized work environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
  • Competency in additional languages is an asset, with French being preferred.
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 75 hours biweekly, with potential travel to various sites.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $53.35, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and pension plan options.
