About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Nutrition & Food Services team in the Eastern Zone. Reporting to the Director, Nutrition and Food Services, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of operations and day-to-day management of NFS within multiple sites.

The successful candidate will champion the integration of nutrition care and food service, providing nutrition care services to patients, residents, and clients in institutional, ambulatory, and community settings. You will collaborate on provincial initiatives and standards, such as the implementation of the Nova Scotia Health Healthy Eating Policy, and work with the NFS leadership team to develop and implement new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement nutrition care standards and monitor clinical dietetic performance
  • Manage the nutritional component of Nutrition and Food Services
  • Maintain professional competency and skills required for professional practice
  • E nsure safety, quality, and clinical/nutrition care standards are maintained for positive patient, resident, and client outcomes
About You

We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, completion of an accredited dietetic internship program, and membership in a professional association, such as Dietitians of Canada. The ideal candidate will have five years' progressive management experience in healthcare as a dietitian, clinically related practice experience, and experience in scope of practice for dietitians, dietetic technicians, and food service supervisors and managers.

You will also possess the ability to interpret statistical data, monitor quality and performance indicators, and build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships. Extensive experience in financial planning and human resource management is also required, as well as knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, policies, and standards.

What We Offer

As a Manager with our organization, you will receive a competitive salary of $40.15 - $53.35 per hour, plus benefits including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
