Job Overview

Position: Medical Laboratory Technologist - MRHH

Employment Type: Temporary Part-Time (approximately 6 months)

As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of health conditions through the execution and analysis of laboratory tests, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting routine laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols and methodologies.

• Exhibiting a thorough understanding of the principles, methodologies, and equipment necessary for all required testing.

• Timely reporting of patient test outcomes, ensuring they adhere to accuracy and reproducibility standards, along with appropriate analysis and interpretation of results when necessary.

• Duties encompass specimen processing, testing, documentation of procedures and results, as well as the upkeep, stocking, and sanitation of the laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) General Diploma from an accredited institution in Medical Laboratory Technology.

• Successful completion of certification examinations for general registration from CSMLS.

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).

• Experience in core laboratory areas, including Hematology, Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine, is essential.
