Job Overview
Position: Medical Laboratory Technologist - MRHH
Employment Type: Temporary Part-Time (approximately 6 months)
As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient health through the execution and analysis of diagnostic laboratory tests, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Conducting routine laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Exhibiting a thorough understanding of the principles, methodologies, and equipment necessary for all mandated tests.
• Timely reporting of patient test outcomes, ensuring they adhere to accuracy and reliability standards. Results must be evaluated and interpreted, with appropriate actions taken when necessary.
• Duties encompass specimen processing, testing, documentation of procedures and results, as well as the upkeep, stocking, and sanitation of the work environment.
Required Qualifications:
• Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) General Diploma from an accredited institution in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Successful completion of certification examinations for general registration from CSMLS.
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
• Experience in core laboratory settings, including Hematology, Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine, is essential.
