Job Description

Condominium Insurance Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. As a knowledgeable expert advisor in commercial insurance lines of business, you will be responsible for managing a book of business, servicing clients in a courteous and professional manner, and assisting the producer in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a Renewal Book of Business: Oversee a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring timely renewals and effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with Producers and Staff: Work closely with producers and other Condominium Insurance staff on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal, adhering to best practices and standard procedures.
  • Initiate Account Planning: Develop comprehensive account plans with producers 100 days in advance of renewals, ensuring a proactive approach to client needs.
  • Maintain Retention Rates: Achieve a retention rate of 95% or higher on your book of business, demonstrating exceptional client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide Exceptional Client Service: Set clear expectations for clients and business partners by providing same-day response times, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • Develop New Business: Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities, contributing to departmental production goals and driving business growth.
  • Prepare Proposals and Reviews: Develop proposals for prospect and stewardship reviews, ensuring accurate and comprehensive coverage recommendations.
  • Manage Account Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date account documentation, including routine inquiries, quotes, binders, statements of values, insurance contracts, endorsements, cancellations, and more.
  • Review Client Coverage and Exposures: Analyze client risk and exposures, recommending tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.
  • Ensure Accurate Servicing and Billing: Verify accurate and timely servicing and billing of accounts, ensuring seamless client experiences.
  • Participate in Cross-Sell Campaigns: Engage in cross-sell campaigns and other initiatives as required, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Develop Industry Knowledge: Actively develop an increased knowledge of related insurance products and client needs, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Maintain Positive Relationships: Foster positive working relationships with clients, staff, other Condominium Insurance departments, and offices, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Insurance Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience required, with a proven track record of success.
  • R.I.B.O. License: R.I.B.O. license required, with C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation(s) preferred.
  • Policy Wordings/Coverages: Solid understanding of policy wordings and coverages, with the ability to analyze and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Mentorship and Negotiation Skills: Ability to mentor others and demonstrate proven negotiation skills, ensuring effective client relationships and business growth.
  • Attention to Detail and Time Management: Strong attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC.
