About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Equipment Sales Representative to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new sales opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and following up on warm leads.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and provide tailored equipment solutions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our products and services to provide accurate and comprehensive information to clients.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Negotiate terms of rental agreements and close sales.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in our CRM system.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote our products and services.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in an Outside Sales role, preferably in equipment rentals or a related industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Construction Equipment Rental industry.
  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Team-player, with the ability to interact with both customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid G driver's license and a satisfactory driver's abstract.
