Job Title: Kennel Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kennel Manager to join our team at Diamond in the Ruff. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of our kennel, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our animals.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily operations of the kennel
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet the needs of our animals and clients
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for staff
  • Plan and control budget and inventory
  • Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • May work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities
  • Supervise staff
  • Perform general farm duties
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Oversee development of communication strategies
  • Organise day-to-day business operations
  • Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall, and enclosures
  • Work with a guard dog
  • Perform animal grooming activities
  • Monitor animal behavior
