Asset Management and Internal Audit Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit team at Sun Life. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and Execute Audits: Work with our Managers, Directors, and AVP to plan, execute, and report on risk-based integrated audit work.
- Manage Multiple Projects: Manage multiple audit projects simultaneously within assigned time and budget.
- Support Documentation: Support the documentation of business objectives, key controls, and test strategy to ensure that our audit objectives and approach service broader business needs.
- Assess Key Controls: Support the assessment of key control design.
- Execute Testing: Execute testing of key controls (business and IT).
- Report Results: Report on results of controls testing and propose recommendations to close any identified gaps.
- Collaborate with Data Analytics: Work with our Data Analytics team to identify opportunities to automate testing.
- Education and Designation: University degree in accounting, finance, or business and professional audit designation (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA).
- Audit Experience: Audit experience in the financial services industry or similar.
- Business Knowledge: Exposure to investment operations and products or asset management business.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to understand complex business processes and identify key risks and controls.
- Knowledge of Control Frameworks: Knowledge and understanding of control frameworks (e.g. COSO, COBIT, etc).
- Audit Techniques: Knowledge of audit techniques, including planning, scoping, testing of internal controls, reporting, and data analytics.
- Project Management: Project management experience will be also valued and considered.
