As a key member of our diverse team, you will play a vital role in providing precise financial insights that empower clients to make informed decisions. Your expertise will help navigate the complexities of the evolving business and financial reporting landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and audit of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Manage government remittances, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
  • Establish and organize client files, support budget completion, and handle administrative tasks.
  • Execute month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, and prepaid expenses.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and collaborate with managers to find solutions.
  • Liaise with government entities regarding information requests and assessments.
  • Collaborate effectively with the client engagement team.
  • Be prepared to travel as needed for client engagements.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A certificate in accounting or a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a focus on accounting or finance preferred.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Familiarity with T4 and T5 preparation, along with knowledge of personal and corporate taxation.
  • A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
  • Experience with accounting and tax software is advantageous.
