As a Financial Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored financial insights that help our clients make informed decisions in a dynamic business environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax-related engagements.
  • Prepare and manage government remittances and filings, as well as accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and payroll transactions.
  • Establish client files, aid in budget completion, and execute administrative planning.
  • Conduct month-end and quarter-end closing processes.
  • Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany transactions, and point of sale system uploads.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and collaborate with managers or engagement partners to formulate solutions.
  • Communicate with government entities regarding information requests, assessments, and payments.
  • Collaborate effectively with the client engagement team.
  • Be open to travel as required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • An accounting certificate or a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, with a focus on accounting or finance being advantageous.
  • Entry-level to 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with preparing T4s and T5s, along with knowledge of personal and corporate tax, is preferred.
  • A working understanding of fundamental accounting principles and processes is considered beneficial.
  • Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.
