St. Andrew Residence is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in the Chatham-Kent area through our innovative Seniors Day Out Program. This initiative is designed to promote well-being and social interaction among seniors.

As the **Coordinator of the Seniors Day Out Program**, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of seniors by fostering connections within the community and collaborating with various partners. Your enthusiasm for community engagement will be essential in driving the program's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Seniors Day Out Program, catering to the needs of seniors in Chatham-Kent.
  • Organize and facilitate recreational, social, and fitness activities for participants.
  • Conduct weekly outreach calls to arrange necessary services such as transportation and foot care.
  • Gather and analyze monthly program data to assess impact and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Community and Client Relations Manager to create and implement a strategic outreach plan.
  • Enhance program visibility and build relationships with essential stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue potential partnerships with local organizations to broaden the program's reach.
  • Provide support and backup to the Community and Client Relations Manager as needed.
  • Design and implement social media marketing strategies to promote the program and St. Andrew's Residence.
  • Work with the programs team to explore new opportunities for community engagement.
  • Mentor and guide program students in their roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in social sciences, gerontology, or therapeutic recreation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in gerontology or related fields is advantageous.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A valid Class "G" driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

The successful candidate will need to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check prior to starting employment.
