As a Sales Associate at COBS Bread, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with a small team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and building relationships with regular customers
- Managing product merchandising and executing marketing initiatives
- Assisting your team in maintaining a clean bakery environment and supporting production as needed (you will even learn how to bake items like scones and danishes)
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A commitment to providing a friendly and engaging experience for our customers
- Experience with cash handling and transaction processing is preferred
- Relevant retail experience is a significant advantage
- A positive attitude and approachable demeanor
- Reliability, self-motivation, and a desire to learn new skills
- A collaborative spirit and enjoyment in working with others
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
- Frequent use of both hands and strong gripping
- Regular operation of the POS system
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 7.5 kg, with bending and reaching
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 22 kg, along with pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching

COBS Bread is part of Bakers Delight, an Australian-owned company established in 1980, operating as Bakers Delight in Australia and New Zealand, and as COBS Bread in Canada and the USA. We have expanded to over 700 bakeries across these regions, employing more than 15,000 individuals and serving over 2.1 million customers weekly. All of COBS Bread's baked goods are made on the same day they are sold, ensuring freshness and quality. Any unsold items are donated daily to local charities and food banks.
