Job Summary:

Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Professional to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and building advanced applications, libraries, and services for the Android platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex software applications, libraries, and services for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with open-source machine learning libraries for Android platform.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong coding skills in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle.
  • Breadth of experience with full-stack development from front-end, user interfaces, mobile platforms, back-end services, web services, and database systems is an asset.
  • Proven working experience in Android app development is an asset.
