About the Role

As a key member of our store management team, the Assistant Store Manager - Retail Operations will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store. This includes assisting the Store Manager in achieving daily goals, managing store operations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide superior customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in managing store operations, including inventory management, ordering, and merchandising.
  • Team Development: Develop and lead a high-performing team, including coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the Store Manager, Department Managers, and Retail Specialists to execute strategies and achieve goals.
  • Community Involvement: Participate in community events and promote Farm Boy's community presence.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of progressively responsible managerial experience in retail, preferably in the perishable food industry.
  • Certifications: Public Health Food Handler certification, Smart Serve, and Level A First Aid and Basic CPR certification.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and team building skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English and French is an asset.
Working Conditions

The Assistant Store Manager - Retail Operations will be required to stand and walk for long periods of time during their shift.
