We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our hotel and resort facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of facilities, including equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Collaborate with other team members to address operational needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at heights, as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the 4–10-hour shift pattern.
- Authorization to work within Canada.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- High level of experience with technology, including smartphones, tablets, computers, and 2-way radio systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- WHMIS certification preferred.
- Recent Emergency Response Training and current First Aid (OFA-LV1) Training considered an asset.
