Gertex Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced People & Culture Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our people strategy, aimed at driving business growth, improving employee engagement, and enhancing our company culture.
Key Responsibilities- Business and Strategic Planning / Leadership
- Set the organization's people strategy by planning, implementing, and evaluating practices, processes, programs, and policies in alignment with overarching organizational goals.
- Evaluate and advise on short-term and long-term people-related needs, and represent new or emerging people and culture priorities, insights, and plans.
- Provide recommendations in people-related areas, including organizational culture, employment policies and legislation, and workforce planning.
- Oversee organizational design/workforce planning that ensures company objectives and strategies are supported by updating roles and responsibilities, aligning competencies, and maintaining job descriptions for all positions within the company.
- Be a trusted, proactive, and effective business leader, partner, and advisor to Gertex management, providing ongoing advice and counsel on all people-related matters and needs.
- Organizational Culture and Employee Experience
- Enhance employee engagement and further reinforce an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Continually assess industry best practices focused upon enhancing culture and engagement, and thoughtfully recommend new practices to the Executive Team, sharing well-thought-out plans to take concepts into practice successfully.
- Take further steps to establish the company as a leading employer in Ontario and promote the organization's brand as an employer of choice.
- Maintain an effective system of P&C communications throughout the organization and provide support to the Executive Team in managing communications internally.
- Continue to develop the Gertex culture by being strongly committed to its Vision, Mission, and Core Values, and being a role model who exhibits exemplary behaviors.
- People & Culture Leadership
- Effectively lead all ongoing P&C activities surrounding (but not limited to) recruitment and retention, training and development, performance management, compensation planning, rewards and recognition, and succession planning.
- Recommend and plan for any unique or ad-hoc special projects pertaining to people and culture.
- Ensure organizational policies are communicated clearly and efficiently, are reviewed regularly to ensure they are up to date, and are signed off on annually to align to compliance requirements.
- Leverage existing HR technologies in place while assessing opportunities to improve and streamline technologies to better automate processes, analyze results, and report on metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources with professional HR designation (i.e. A minimum of 7 years of HR Business Partner/Generalist experience, ideally with 3-5 years of proven success at the leadership level of a growing company).
- Successful experience leading P&C functions and demonstrates technical depth in all areas of human resources management.
- Experience supporting M&A an asset.
- Commands attention and manages group process, is cognizant of audience response, and able to adapt content and style accordingly.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task across ongoing projects in a dynamic environment.
- Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively manage and reconcile competing priorities.
- High level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft suite of products.
