Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Senior Project Manager to join our team at Southwest Properties. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from concept design to construction start-up, procurement, and mobilization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with site superintendents, sub-trades, and operations staff to coordinate construction activities, document deficiencies, and manage suite completions.
  • Interface with the entire construction team and report directly to the Construction Manager.
  • Create and maintain roles and responsibilities matrices for project teams.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, sequencing, and budgets.
  • Administer subcontracts, define scopes of work, and ensure subcontractor obligations are met.
  • Manage change orders, ensure reports are accurate, and distribute change orders accordingly.
  • Monitor construction budgets, conduct quality control activities, and inspect programs.
  • Assist with project closeout, including archiving documents, operations and maintenance manuals, deficiencies, and warranty close-out work.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a Construction Project Manager role, with up-to-date knowledge of construction techniques and standards.
  • Engineering degree or Construction Technology diploma considered an asset.
  • Experience working on large residential, high-rise construction sites, knowledge of Procore Construction Software, and previous people leadership experience are considered assets.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Apps, ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and documents.
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and attention to detail skills.
