Job Summary

CUA is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources and Payroll Officer to join our team. As the primary contact for all human resources-related inquiries and communications, you will be responsible for administering payroll and benefits for CUA and its subsidiary companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment, onboarding, and departures
  • Performance and time management, including administration of CUA's HRIS
  • Compensation adjustments
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Staff lists and reports
  • Document preparation and formatting
  • Maintenance of HR-related items in Microsoft SharePoint
Requirements
  • Business Administration or Human Resources Management Certificate required, plus a minimum of three years' experience in payroll and benefits
  • Strong knowledge of payroll administration/legislation and experience processing payroll, preferably in Ceridian
  • Experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS); preferably PurelyHR
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with high-quality documentation and filing systems
  • Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association is considered an asset
