Position Overview

The successful candidate will possess the capability to independently identify and rectify issues efficiently. Providing outstanding service to clients is essential, as is the ability to work on intricate systems in demanding conditions. Participation in the formulation of new field procedures and best practices is expected. A strong emphasis on Safety and Quality is integral to our operations. Initial travel may exceed 50% for training, followed by approximately 10% travel as required by business needs. This role is associated with a new wind farm project. Relocation assistance may be available if necessary. GWO (Global Wind Organization) training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct service and maintenance on wind turbines Diagnose and troubleshoot wind turbine issues Elevate technical concerns to engineering support teams While primarily based at a designated wind farm, occasional support for other sites may be required Deliver exceptional service to clients Engage in the development of enhanced field procedures and best practices Work within the wind turbine enclosure at heights of approximately 300 feet Maintain composure and clarity in high-pressure or hazardous situations, particularly in confined spaces Comprehensive training and assessments will be provided to meet safety and technical job requirements Physical demands include ladder climbing, standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and exposure to various environmental conditions Demonstrate the ability to expand technical skills Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities at an operational wind farm

Required Qualifications:

A valid driver's license is essential, and candidates must maintain an acceptable driving record Eligibility to obtain a valid Passport is required Must be physically and mentally capable of working at heights and in confined spaces Flexibility in travel is necessary High school diploma or equivalent is required Self-motivated with the ability to think quickly and address challenges as they arise Proven ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment Strong customer service and communication skills are essential Excellent organizational skills with a focus on quality are required Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel Must meet weight restrictions as mandated by safety regulations Successful completion of a physical examination is required to ensure capability to perform job functions safely Pre-employment background screening is mandatory Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the designated country

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 6 months of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial field Certification from a Renewable Energy or Wind Technical Program is preferred Hands-on experience as a Wind Technician on a Wind Farm is advantageous Relevant experience or demonstrated knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or maintenance/troubleshooting in various industries is a plus
