Position Overview
The successful candidate will possess the skills to independently identify and rectify issues efficiently. They will deliver exceptional service to our clients, engage with intricate systems in demanding settings, and contribute to the formulation of new operational procedures and best practices. Safety and Quality are integral to our ethos, and the ideal candidate will prioritize both. Initial travel may exceed 50% for training in the first year, followed by approximately 10% in subsequent years based on business requirements. This role is associated with a new wind farm project. Relocation assistance may be available if required. GWO (Global Wind Organization) training will also be provided.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct maintenance and servicing of wind turbines. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues on wind turbines. Elevate technical challenges to the engineering support teams. While this position is primarily based at a designated wind farm, occasional support for other sites may be necessary. Deliver outstanding service to our clients. Engage in the development of enhanced operational procedures and best practices. The work environment includes operating within the wind turbine structure at heights of approximately 300 feet. The ability to remain calm and think clearly in stressful or hazardous situations is essential for working in confined spaces. Comprehensive training and assessments will be provided to cover safety and technical job requirements. Physical demands include, but are not limited to: climbing ladders (minimum 250 steps), ascending stairs, prolonged standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, overhead work, pushing, pulling, and exposure to various environmental conditions. Willingness to enhance technical skills. Capable of taking on additional responsibilities at an operational wind farm.Required Qualifications:
A valid driver's license is essential, and applicants must have a satisfactory driving record. Employees are required to maintain a valid license and may undergo periodic driving record checks. Must be eligible to obtain a valid Passport. Physically and mentally capable of working at heights and in confined spaces. Flexible travel availability. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Self-motivated with the ability to think critically and resolve issues as they arise. Proven ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on quality. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel. Must comply with body weight restrictions as mandated by safety regulations. A physical examination by a medical professional is required to ensure the ability to perform job functions safely. Successful completion of pre-employment background checks is mandatory. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Qualified candidates must be authorized for employment in Canada without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.#EntryLevel
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 6 months of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial field. Certification from a Renewable Energy or Wind Technical Program. Practical experience as a Wind Technician on a Wind Farm.
