About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Red Fin Sushi & K-Food. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi and other Japanese and Korean dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
