About the Job

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Caregiver to join our team at Coopérative de services à domicile de la MRC de Montmagny. As a Medical Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in the comfort of patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
  • First Aid and Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations, providing first aid and stabilizing patients until medical help arrives.
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Support patients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and respectful communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care coordination and addressing any concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications: Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training and CPR Certificate required.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and patience.
