About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Caregiver to join our team at Chartwell Ste-Marthe residence for seniors. As a Medical Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained.
  • Administer Medication: Safely administer medication to residents as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help residents with daily living activities, such as serving meals, feeding, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Monitor and Report Changes: Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans that meet residents' unique needs.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training and CPR Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
