About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Caregiver to join our team at Coopérative de services à domicile de la MRC de Montmagny. As a Medical Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in the comfort of patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
  • First Aid and Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations, providing first aid and stabilizing patients until medical help arrives.
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help patients with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Monitor and Report Changes: Continuously monitor patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals and family members.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a valid certification in Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) and CPR, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and well-being.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience in patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, bend, and move patients with care, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate dependability, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility, with excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
