Job Summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of trucks.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair issues with electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and other complex components
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel truck technician or mechanic
  • Current enrollment in an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 45kg and work in a non-climate controlled environment
