Position Overview:
Burlington Hydro Inc. is looking for a dedicated Asset Management Supervisor to oversee our Engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of asset management initiatives, including:
  • Ownership of asset management programs and platforms.
  • Investigation of equipment failures and reliability challenges.
  • Development of inspection and maintenance strategies.
  • Evaluation of new technologies to enhance equipment longevity while ensuring cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
  • Support the formulation of capital programs that align with both short-term and long-term asset management objectives.
  • Ensure that long-term plans and expenditures are appropriate and that projects are executed as intended.
  • Establish and maintain compliance with various contracts and departmental processes.
  • Supervise equipment installations while aligning cost control with annual budgets.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements through continuous education and training.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and perform cost-benefit analyses to identify potential challenges.
  • Manage the accuracy of asset condition and risk data through robust planning and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain asset risk registries in accordance with the Distribution System Plan.
  • Lead the development and execution of annual Asset Condition Assessments and Replacement plans.
  • Formulate maintenance and capital improvement recommendations based on comprehensive system analysis.
Qualifications:
The candidate must possess:
  • An Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma.
  • Certification as a C.
  • Strong management, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid class 'G' driver's license.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
