About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, applying the ALARA principle, and remain responsive to and responsible for each patient in your care.

Effective communication in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary environment is essential, as you will be working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to foster a culture of safety in the workplace.

Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
  • Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
  • Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Casual Relief Position
  • Call back, stand by, and shift work required, including evenings, nights, weekends and holiday coverage
Compensation and Benefits

$30.83 - $37.54 hourly
