Job Summary

The Manager, Informatics is a key leadership role within Fraser Health, responsible for driving the development, implementation, and adoption of health informatics, clinical, and corporate information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of health and corporate information systems, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to improve corporate and clinical work processes and patient/employee outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with FH Leadership, Corporate, and Clinical Support Services to lead the development and implementation of health and corporate information systems, ensuring alignment with the health and clinical/corporate informatics vision for FH.
  • Develop and maintain processes to facilitate care provider and employee access to electronic health and corporate information systems, applications, and tools, ensuring seamless integration and effective use.
  • Manage multiple department project budgets, approving and tracking expenditures, identifying budget discrepancies, and allocating funds across areas of responsibility.
  • Represent Fraser Health as a decision maker on external opportunities to achieve desired outcomes, participating in internal and external committees as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field, plus seven years of management experience in a medium to large-sized organization working with computerized health information systems.
  • Experience with acute care electronic health information systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and corporate information systems, leadership practices, and technical capabilities.
