Health Informatics Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Health Informatics Manager at Fraser Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the development, implementation, and adoption of health informatics, clinical, and corporate information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of health and corporate information systems, including identifying opportunities for electronic information capture and distribution.
- Plan and manage the support of the evolution and adoption of health and clinical/corporate information systems projects.
- Develop and maintain processes to facilitate care provider and employee access to electronic health and corporate information systems, applications, and tools.
- Work collaboratively with the Informatics leadership team to move forward the health and clinical/corporate information management agenda of Fraser Health.
- Identify innovative approaches for information capture, storage, and retrieval, and ensure that standards related to the management of personal health, employee, or corporate information are maintained and enhanced.
- Manage assigned staff, including selecting employees, directing, supervising, and evaluating staff to ensure effective performance of duties.
- Ensure the implementation of correct human resource standards and procedures, including performance evaluation, education, and orientation.
- Manage multiple department project budgets, including approving and tracking expenditures, identifying budget discrepancies, and allocating funds across areas of responsibility.
- Participate on assigned internal and external committees, representing Fraser Health as a decision maker on external opportunities to achieve desired outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field, plus seven years of management experience in a medium to large-sized organization working with computerized health information systems.
- Experience with acute care electronic health information systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and corporate information systems, leadership practices, and professional/technical capabilities.
