About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Project Consultant to join our Perioperative Network team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Perioperative Senior Medical Director and Project Manager(s) to facilitate the implementation of strategic initiatives and improvement projects that advance the achievement of Nova Scotia Health and the Department of Health and Wellness mandates.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Perioperative / Surgical services and will serve as a liaison between the Perioperative Network, project teams, and Zone Perioperative leaders. You will facilitate staff involvement, provide ongoing support, mentorship, and coaching during implementation, and ensure decisions are fiscally responsible.

About You
  • Undergraduate degree in a healthcare discipline
  • Master's degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, or business administration
  • Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) / experience an asset
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years' leadership experience within Perioperative Services
  • Experience in working with patient care leaders
  • Experience in leading strategic initiatives and/or large-scale improvement projects
  • Experience in project management, program development, and program evaluation
  • Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
  • High degree of independent decision-making, creativity, self-direction, motivation, change management, and team-building/leadership skills
