Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prevent, identify, and address theft and fraud within our retail environments.
  • Work alongside fellow Loss Prevention Specialists to investigate regional or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) incidents as they occur.
  • Maintain regular collaboration with local law enforcement agencies.
  • Conduct internal investigations; gather and present evidence for legal proceedings or arbitration.
  • Identify and assess potential shrinkage risks within our operational compliance framework.
  • Foster and sustain partnerships with store management through meetings and discussions; guide and support colleagues on Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Engage in store-level audits.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends (40-hour work week).
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Provincial Security Guard License is mandatory.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, Powers of Arrest, and surveillance systems.
  • A professional, approachable, and friendly demeanor.
  • A strong sense of initiative and integrity is essential for success in a dynamic environment.
